Samsung Front Load Washer Shipping Bolt Assembly DC97-14489R

The Samsung DC97-14489R shipping bolt, also called a transit bolt or tub fixer assembly, locks the washer tub and drum in place while the machine is moved or transported. It prevents the tub from swinging and striking the cabinet, protecting the suspension, shock absorbers and drum bearings from damage. Each assembly includes the long threaded bolt, clear plastic spacer sleeve, black rubber cap and yellow locking tab.

Important: Most Samsung front load washers use 3 to 4 shipping bolts. All shipping bolts must be removed before operating the washer, or severe vibration and damage can occur. Order the quantity your washer requires.

Installation Instructions

1. Unplug the washer and turn off the water supply.
2. Locate the shipping bolt holes on the back panel of the washer.
3. Insert each bolt assembly through the back panel into the tub bracket.
4. Tighten with a wrench until snug; do not overtighten.
5. Fit the yellow locking tab and repeat for all bolt holes before moving the washer.
6. Remove all shipping bolts and cover the holes with the caps before operating the washer again.
