Whirlpool W11260592 Dryer Wire Harness with Bi-Metal Thermostat
Genuine OEM Whirlpool W11260592 wire harness with bi-metal cycling thermostat for clothes dryers. This harness carries power to the heating circuit and includes the bi-metal thermostat that cycles the heater on and off to maintain safe drying temperatures. A failed thermostat or damaged harness can cause the dryer to run cold, overheat, or shut off unexpectedly.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Whirlpool replacement part
- Includes bi-metal cycling thermostat and wire harness assembly
- Regulates heating element on and off cycles
- Direct replacement for a failed or burned thermostat harness
Common Symptoms This Part Fixes
- Dryer runs but produces little or no heat
- Dryer overheats and shuts off mid cycle
- Clothes take much longer than normal to dry
- Burning smell near the dryer cabinet
- Melted or discolored wire connectors at the heater housing
Installation
Unplug the dryer and disconnect the power cord before starting. Remove the rear panel or the front and top panels, depending on the model, to reach the heating element housing. Disconnect the wire harness connectors from the old thermostat harness and remove the mounting screws. Install the new harness in the same position, reconnect the wire connectors, and replace the mounting screws. Reinstall the panels, restore power, and run a test cycle to confirm the dryer is heating normally.
