- Turn off the gas supply to the range
- Remove the burner grate and cap
- Lift the cooktop if needed to access the burner base
- Disconnect the igniter wire if attached
- Unthread or unclip the old burner from the gas orifice
- Install the new XL V2 burner onto the gas orifice
- Reconnect the igniter wire
- Lower the cooktop and replace the burner cap and grate
- Turn on the gas supply
- 10. Test the burner for proper ignition and flame
