- Turn off the water supply to the RO system
- Open the RO faucet to release pressure
- Remove the membrane housing cap
- Pull out the old FX12M membrane filter
- Insert the new membrane filter with the O-ring end first
- Replace the housing cap and hand tighten
- Turn the water supply back on
- Allow the system to fill and discard the first tank of water
