The washing machine door boot seal (also called the door bellows or gasket) is the rubber seal that creates a water-tight barrier between the door and the outer tub on front-load washers. When the boot seal tears, cracks, develops mold, or pulls away from its seat, water leaks from the front of the washer during the wash or spin cycle.
