- Disconnect power before starting repair. Remove dryer back panel to access thermostat on heating element housing. Disconnect wire connectors from old thermostat. Remove mounting screw and old thermostat. Install new thermostat and secure with screw. Reconnect wire connectors. Reassemble back panel and restore power.
