Range Burner Receptacle Kit – Whirlpool

This receptacle terminal block kit connects the surface burner element to the range's wiring. When its terminals burn, melt, or lose contact, the burner may not heat, may work intermittently, or may show charring at the element terminals. The kit includes a plastic receptacle block, two metal brackets to match your original, two hi-temp wire leads, two wire connectors, two screws, and two heat-shrink insulators. Loss of heat can have several causes, so have the element and wiring checked before ordering.

Installation Instructions

1. Disconnect power at the breaker and verify the range is de-energized.
2. Remove the burner element and open the panel to reach the receptacle block.
3. Label the wires, then disconnect them from the old block.
4. Install the new block with the matching bracket and connect the wires exactly as labeled.
5. Replace burned wiring rather than reusing it, reinstall the covers, and run a controlled heat test.
